Must apologize for the quality of the pictures, but even if they're rather old I wanted to share them. This was Debbie's Appaloosa colt, a real sweetheart but a bit hard for a young lady to handle.

   Valley Miss
My first horse - a TB mare who, while on the racetrack, was known as "Yak She Do." Her time on the track was short and uneventful, and consequently she ended up with a family who lived near Philadelphia. There she was trained as a show hunter. The young lady who owned her decided that it was time to move on and "Missy" became an important member of my family.

The Lancaster (PA) horse show.
I'm always surprised to find that I have so many pictures of Mynah and none of the other horses that filled my father's life. I remember this particular day vividly 'cause I'd shown Missy in an Open Hunter class and took a bad spill in the middle of the course. Went to the hospital (protesting loudly!) but a few hours later I was back in the saddle. It wasn't until the next day that we discovered I'd sprained my ankle! (I think Dad won a few ribbons that day).

It Takes A Thief
Well it's not the first pic of Thief and probably not the last *s*. This is definitely NOT a "show ready" photo but it does give an idea of the color and build of a wonderful quarter horse gelding. After his show career Thief was used in advanced lessons at our March Wind Farm.. always popular..always willing.. always gentle and understanding.
