 
but I won't tell you how long ago that was (!) My father introduced me to the great world of horses at three and that love and admiration continues to grow as I get older.. and older. My greatest hope, in formatting these series, is that I'll be able to pass on whatever knowledge I may have gleaned from all my time spent with these fantastic animals. My father who always insisted that I remount after a fall... To my mother who kept her fears to herself... and managed to be there to dry my tears... To my children who've tried very hard to keep the legacy alive... To all those endless teachers and judges who had so much faith in my abilities... To the past members of the Beaufort Hunt who so patiently managed to correct my mistakes in the hunt field... To "Valley Miss" my first real "teacher" and hunt field companion... And finally to "Thief" who taught me patience and made so many of my dreams come true....
